We offer a comprehensive package of ground investigation services using our in-house plant resources and personnel to the development and consultancy community throughout the United Kingdom.
Our geotechnical laboratory services are accredited by UKAS and fully quality administered for soil and rock testing. This includes quality control in situ testing services for roads and landfill sites.
Site operations are backed by strong geotechnical and environmental reporting services using gINT and other commercial software for initial deskstudies to final assessment reports.
Early contractor involvement on difficult site investigations can make all the difference in selecting the most appropriate and cost effective approach. It is often beneficial to all parties that the technical objectives are fully understood and the correct techniques are chosen from the outset to avoid more costly duplication of the work at a later stage. Why compromise when we offer free and impartial advice which can help you tailor an investigation that is both fit-for-purpose and economical - addressing any geotechnical design risk issues and providing representative ground information that will facilitate the design process going forward.
Overwater investigation on the River Tyne, Newcastle using a floating pontoon platform with spud-legs for stability and anchorage. Operations included cable percussion and rotary coring, with associated sampling (CEFAS sediment analysis) and in situ testing (borehole vane, SPT). We have a long heritage and expertise relating to successfully conducting investigation operations on in-land river systems and near shore environments using cost effective pontoon platforms. Our drilling operatives are competent and fully experienced in these situations.
